Martedì, 5, mercoledì 6 e venerdì 8 settembre c'è stato il nostro corso Back to School per preparare i bimbi a tornare a scuola. Hanno lavorato sodo ed abbiamo ripassato tantissime cose - oralmente, scrivendo, leggendo, giocando, correndo ed ogni tanto cantando!
Abbiamo trascorso tre pomeriggi bellissimi con i bimbi e sono stati davvero bravi!

This was our last week of summer school for this year and we had the little ones who had attended the second and third year of kindergarten.
An amazing group of kids who worked hard and were enthusiastic about everything we did. :o) We had fun singing, playing, running round, reading and working quietly with flash cards and stories.

The last week in July was for our Little Linguists in the 4th and 5th years of primary, and 1st year of lower secondary school - they worked incredibly hard and did really really well.
There was a lot of laughter and joy this week - thank you all!
It's important to be comfortable when you're studying. :o)

I nostri bimbi che hanno frequentato il secondo e terzo anno della scuola materna sono venuti a scuolina per fare la loro settimana di Little Linguists Summer! dal 3 al 7 luglio.
Dalle 8:00 alle 14:00 hanno giocato, cantato, corso, ballato, riso...e tutto era mirato a fargli imparare più inglese possibile mentre stavano con noi.
Tra le tante cose che abbiamo fatto...scoprire pirati ed il loro tesoro, creare pesci, fare dettati con le cose del mare, imparare il cibo che mangiavamo, le frasi importanti per chiedere le cose...
Sono stati meravigliosi - bravissimi bimbi!!

Our second week of Little Linguists Summer! was for children in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of primary school and we had a lot of fun together.
The kids worked really had and were - rightly - proud of how much they had achieved by the end of the week - well done you!!

Ed ecco i nostri campionissimi dei corsi Saturday Snack time per i bimbi dai 18 ai 36 mesi durante la festa di fine corso, assieme alla meravigliosa Virginia che li ha giudati nel percorso.
I bimbi hanno partecipato con gioia alle attività proposte ed hanno imparato tanto in questo loro primo approccio alla lingua inglese con l'aiuto dei loro meravigliosi genitori che li hanno accompagnati facendo le canzoni e giochi assieme a loro.
Grazie tante a tutti - è stata una esperienza fantastica!!
Ed ecco alcune foto dei piccolissimi che, quest'anno hanno fatto la loro prima esperienza con l'inglese, avvicinandosi a questa nuova lingua con i giochi, le canzoni, le flashcards, i pupazzi.
Ed erano orgogliosi di ricevere i loro diploma alla fine del corso...
Ed è piaciuto molto il gioco di imparare le verdure della canzone di Billy Bunny con le mini flasch cards!

Once the kids had learned about the origin and traditions of Pancake Day, they then had a go at tossing them!!
Mad hair Day was also a lot of fun - with some amazing hairstyle and decorations!!

Aaaaand wrapped up warm to run around and toss our pancakes!!

After learning about the traditions of Pancake Day, the kids had a go at tossing their own, amid much giggling and fun...
We then put our coats on and headed outside to toss some more in the pancake races!
Mad Hair Day was also great fun - and the kids let their imagination run wild!
Lots and lots and lots of work was done too, of course...and the kids memorised dialogues and songs, wrote, read, listened and completed all sorts of handouts - grammar, verbs, reading comprehensions....
...and being comfortable is very very important. :o)
There was much laughter and joy in this course, too - the kids worked really hard learning dialogues, songs, reading, speaking, writing...it was enormous fun and they learned so much!

The children came up with all sorts of ideas!
We had mad scientists...and some which were quite scary. :D
Some of the boys invented ways of tossing which had never been seen before!!
Some of the pancakes went up incredibly high!!

Then indoors for more tossing. All the kids, whether they were superheroes, princesses, cowboys, ballerinas or themselves - were awesome at it!
Mad hair day was also a lot of fun and the children came up with some brilliant ideas - you gotta love a child's imagination!
Certificates and Little Linguists rucksack medals went down really well. :o)
Little Linguists crescono...and work so hard.
The first year of secondary school. We did an enormous amount this year and the kids learned a huge number of simple past/past participle paradigms, too - and enjoyed testing each other. :o)
